you read my mind. lower your iso since the moon is reflected sunlight :) try 200 or 100 a full moon is bright.

try to use a tripod the moon moves :).

use spot metering if you can adjust it.

use maual focus. this shot is beuatiful but graining since the iso is high :) and night time adds more noise

lol Thank you I'll try that. I tried alot of different settings It's just to could to take my time. I wish it would get warmer.lol

I did use my tripod. I knew the moon moves but was amazed the little time I was triyng to get this how much and fast it moves.

Spot metering? lol

I did use manual focus and the timer. Thank you so much.=) Thank you for your help and the link! :hug: =) I just leaned from the news this is called the wolf moon.

wow the wolf moon? It was clear and beautiful I just took a few snaps real quick :). it has like a bright glow around it. it is freezing out. I wasn't really dressed to take a lot of shots. but it is real clear. :) the first full moon this year I think.

Thats what the news just said. The first full moon in January is called the wolf moon. It was clear earlier but now I can't really see it no more, It got really cloudy here. It's +1 I'm not going back out anyways! lol

Thank you, I wish it was better though. I took almost 40 pics at different settings and this it the best one. I want the texture like in [link] But I can't do it. Sigh... I only had 45 min or so it's cloudy here now. I hope it's warmer down by you.lol it's +2 here i froze getting this. I could not see the buttens on my camera so I got dads flash light. It's a heavy metal one and it was warm when i took it out. I set it on the ground and it froze there! lol I could not move it! Dad had to go out and get it! lol Good luck getting your pic! =)
